After a night of bombing and shelling, and a delegation that refuses to leave the hotel, Homs woke up to the sounds of more explosions and gunfire. Ashira neighborhood pleaded for the second day in a row from a suffocating siege and random shelling, along with complete power outage, while tanks roamed the neighborhood streets.
In Karm al-Zeitoun, the severely stricken neighborhood, Assad forces fired and bombed randomly and heavily from the surrounding security checkpoints. This resulted in burning some homes, injuring many people, and a few fallen heroes. There were also arrests that included a number of men and women. Power was completely cut off from the entire neighborhood. Nail bombs filled the streets while gunfire filled the air. The residents could not have a funeral for their fallen heroes, or aid the injured, as the humanitarian situation became even more miserable.
Also, in the neighborhood of Deir Balba there was heavy gunfire at times and intermittently from Siteen checkpoint and from the direction of Abassiya, where Assad forces and gangs are situated on top of schools. As a result, there were at least two casualties and several injured people.
