Homs: Summary of Events, Sunday, November 27, 2011
Al-Khaldiyeh, al-Bayda, Talbiseh, after al-Bweda al-Sharqiyeh
Yesterday, al-Bweda al-Sharqiyeh, one of the villages around the town of al-Qusayr, was invaded by more soldiers than the population of the village, along with tens of armored vehicles and tanks. At least 10 of its residents were killed yesterday, and today, several of those injured yesterday died as a result of their injuries. News is absent today from the village, after its invasion and cutting off its communications, except for a few things, like reports of arresting at least 25 people. Meanwhile, al-Bayada and al-Khaldiyeh were surrounded since last night, and today gets stormed after bombing it with rockets and different types of artillery. Snipers got on top of buildings and targeted anyone who went outside, resulting in tens of injured people, and no one to provide them with medical care. There were also at least 3 killed, and no less than 70 arrested. In Talbiseh, the southern part of al-Mashjar area was the target of snipers and bombs, and no less than 50 people were arrested there, with gunfire continuing all day. Homs supports itself and bullets are its destiny
Other areas of Homs rose up in solidarity with neighborhoods under siege in solidarity and to confirm that the residents of Homs are one family. Signs were carried to console the mother of Sari al-Saood who was killed yesterday by Assad security and Shabiha. Baba Amr, Bab al-Draib, Bab Tadmur, and other areas went out, and bullets were the destiny of demonstrations after they gathered. Bab al-Draib and the nearby Jib al-Jandali were invaded by tanks, while armored vehicles moved on the edges of the neighborhoods and fired at homes. The young men of al-Qusoor also tried to move and gather for a demonstration, but they were faced with bullets before even gathering. Gunfire was also heard in Kram al-Zeitoun, Deir Balba, and other areas including rural areas. Several unidentified bodies were found near Deir Balba in al-Siteen street, and were left there by Assad forces. Here are some videos from today.

Summary of the summary:

Revolution time story from Homs:
A day in Homs, one neighborhood is under siege, another is under fire, Assad security and Shabiha surround Baba Amr and starts raiding and arresting without excluding anyone. But this time, there is a stage before taking them to prisons and detention centers. They had to first take those arrested to a neighborhood populated by Shabiha thugs, threw them in one of its squares, so they could start hitting and insulting those arrested. Among them was Abo Sami, who was arrested as random for his son. He is a man in his 70s, who has done nothing except honorably all his life. One of the pro-regime thugs started hitting and beating him, but as luck would know it, this thug tripped and hit his head on the ground. This was not enough of a sign to show him that what he is doing to his fellow countrymen will get him punished now and in the after life, so he got up gathering all the energy and hatred he has and started again hitting and insulting the old man until he fainted. Abo Sami was taken to prison to stay in it for 4 days without treatment or even a painkiller. Today, Abo Sami came out to tell his grandchildren what has happened, and Sami will talk about Syria’s history and how its people sacrificed all they could for freedom.
